What to Expect

An acupuncture treatment involves getting information about the history of the patient and their current condition, the insertion of single-use, pre-sterilized acupuncture needles and then allowing the patient to relax for 20-30 minutes.  Most people report feeling a slight pinch with the insertion of needles, or oftentimes say they don’t feel the needles at all.  Patients feel relaxed and often fall asleep during treatment.

The number of treatments required depends on many factors.  You may feel some beneficial effects immediately, but chronic conditions can require several treatments before significant changes occur.  Colleen offers free consultations over the telephone or in person to help determine how long she would expect a course of treatment to be.
